NEW YORK CITY, FUTURE FURNITURE AWARD / Folded Table
New York City, May 2005: Interior Design Magazine has awarded the Folded Table with the Future Furniture Award.
The Folded Layer Table is composed of multiple thin layers of folded carbon-fiber sheets bonded together to form a micro-thin tabletop.
The two layers of folded carbon fiber bonded together to form a lightweight truss, increasing the sectional area of each single layer.
The tabletop is held aloft by sinuous tubular stainless steel legs that bend and cross to form a continuous saddle.
